For this reason, it is advisable to clean it thoroughly with cleaning vinegar, as it will end with bacteria, soap and lime residues, mold and any rest that causes that unpleasant odor.

We start with the drum. To clean it, you just have to put half a cup of cleaning vinegar, or failing that you have at home, in the detergent and fabric softener dispensers. Then, start the appliance by programming a normal wash cycle at 30 ÂșC or more, always with the washing machine empty.

When the program ends, if there is still any strange smell or residue, you can put vinegar directly into the drum and rub with the help of a cloth or scouring pad. Then, reset the washer to a normal cycle with more vinegar.

It is the turn of the washer rubber. If you want to prevent the formation of dirt in this area, wipe with a dry cloth after each wash, that will be enough to remove the moisture. On the other hand, if it is very dirty and you want to clean it, you should fill a container with water and add a glass of cleaning vinegar with the intention of reducing it a little.

Next, with a cloth soaked in this mixture, clean all the corners of the rubber. You can soak the cloth as many times as necessary, and you can also do it with an old toothbrush to access the most difficult areas. If you can remove it to clean it much better and, when finished, remember to wipe it with a dry cloth to remove any traces of moisture. If there is a lot of mold, you can use bleach instead of vinegar following the same procedure.
